For the last decade, Hanne Haukenes has been responsible for HSE Management in construction projects in developing countries, and ensured that requirements from ESIAs (Environmental and Social Impact Assessments) and ESAPs (additional requirements from lenders) are complied with. In the developing phase of projects, Haukenes has advised the Project Managers, evaluated risks related to the country, local communities and environment, and ensured that ESIA studies are carried out by a third party consultant and that the assessments, including the baseline data are of adequate quality. To assure compliance, Haukenes has carried out audits of construction projects and operations. When necessary, Haukenes has supported the local organisations and contractors in establishing and implementing ESMPs, HSE Plans, Security plans, investigations and HSE reporting.
